Who we are

Marliven is a small self-drive rental company in Salford with one Moskvich 5 on the books. We deliver and collect inside the M60, so there is no depot and nothing for you to travel to.

Why we lean towards long bookings

A single day of hire involves nearly the same administration as a month: the same checks, the same delivery, the same valet. Firms that price a week as seven day-rates are charging you for that overhead seven times. We priced the longer end to reflect what it actually costs us, which is why a month works out at around a third of the daily figure.

The practical effect is that we attract people between cars, on contracts, or waiting on a repair — and those customers ask better questions about the vehicle. That pushed us into writing a full year of long-term notes rather than a page of selling points.

What stays with us on a long hire

• Servicing to the manufacturer's interval, including the CVT fluid
• MOT, tyres and any mechanical work, for the whole of your booking
• Insurance for drivers 25 to 70 and breakdown cover
• Delivery and collection inside the M60

You cover fuel and anything beyond fair wear. That is the whole division of responsibility, and it is on the written quote before you commit.

What we will not claim

No customer counts, no ratings, no fuel economy figure we have not verified. If you want to know something that is not on the site, ask — it is faster than us guessing what you wanted to read.
